I checked out my neighborhood at BlogCatalog this evening and got a bit of a shock. Every thing was blank, I had no details in my profile, no messages in my shoutbox, no friends and no neighborhoods, even my avatar had gone.

It appears that they had suffered a data loss on their server and had had to restore back to 25th June. The blog data and user information were recovered up to 6th July. The net result of this was, that as I only joined late last week, I had lost everything except the fact that I had joined.

I have reset my profile and avatar and rejoined as many neighborhoods as I could remember and hopefully as I get some new visitors the widget will start to fill up again.
