We spent the day at my Mum’s today meeting Lyall and Diana. Lyall is my 2nd cousin once removed. He got in contact with me last September through my website. We popped in to say hello and just got talking and talking and ended up spending the whole day. Back at my Mum’s tomorrow for lunch.
Lyall and Diana, arrived this evening from New Zealand for 5 weeks. We will meet them tomorrow.
I have just ordered the Mediaeval Baebes 10th Anniversary DVD from their website. It should arrive sometime in July.
Got a surprise today at work, when my ex boss from the US, Phil Stathas, popped into work on his way back to the airport. He had been visiting the UK sites of his new company and couldn’t pass by without dropping in. So glad he did, it really brightened the afternoon up.
My brother and his wife had their first child this morning.
We went into Luton this afternoon to get presents for Mother’s Day next weekend. As usual, we had a look at Ashby Arts and Crafts in Luton indoor market. They are always a good place to get cards and collectables. We always used to get our Discworld figures there.
The market is being refurbished and it is total chaos in there at the moment. Sadly Ashby Arts and Crafts are closing their shop after 20 years. They do have a website www.AshbyArtsandCrafts.com and will continue trading through that.
